With five of the top health-funded hospitals in the nation (MGH, Brigham and Women’s, Boston Children’s, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center), it’s perhaps unsurprising that Boston has held the record for receiving the most NIH funds for at least 24 years.
Startup Hotspot
The availability of funding has also contributed to the establishment of Boston as a startup hotspot for the biotech and pharma industries.
