ODSC East is just a few weeks away, and we couldn’t be more excited to announce our Keynote and Track Keynote speakers. They represent some of the leading minds in both industry and academia Collectively, our keynote speakers have written numerous articles and papers, been the recipients of notable awards, been recognized by respected publications, and received fellowships. Keynotes
Raluca Ada Popa, PhD
Associate Professor, UC Berkeley | Co-founder and Co-director of UK Berkley RISELab
Raluca Ada Popa’s current focus at UC Berkeley is computer security, systems, and applied cryptography. In addition to being the co-founder and co-director of the RISELab and SkyLab at UC Berkeley, she is also the co-founder of Opaque Systems and PreVeil, two cybersecurity companies. She is the recipient numerous awards, including the 2021 ACM Grace Murray Hopper Award, a Sloan Foundation Fellowship award, Jay Lepreau Best Paper Award at OSDI 2021, Distinguished Paper Award at IEEE Euro S&P 2022 and was recognized by Technology Review as one of the 35 Innovators under 35.
Pedro Domingos, PhD
Professor Emeritus, University Of Washington | Co-founder of the International Machine Learning Society
Pedro Domingos is a winner of the SIGKDD Innovation Award and the IJCAI John McCarthy Award, two of the highest honors in data science and AI. He is also the author or co-author of more than 200 technical publications in data mining, machine learning, and other fields, and has written for major national publications like the Wall Street Journal, Scientific American, and Wired. He is also co-founder of the International Machine Learning Society, and past associate editor of JAIR.
Eve Psalti
Principal Group Program Manager, Microsoft | Senior Director at Microsoft’s Azure AI
Over her 20+ year career in tech and as a business leader, Eve Psalti has held numerous roles, including Senior Director at Microsoft’s Azure and Head of Strategic Platforms at Google Cloud, as well as business development, sales and marketing leadership positions at Microsoft and startups across the US and Europe. In addition to her role at Microsoft, Eve currently serves on the board of WE Global Studios, a full-stack startup innovation studio supporting female entrepreneurs.`
Hagay Lupesko
VP Engineering, MosaicML | Expert in Generative AI Training and Inference, Former Leader at Meta AI and AWS
In his role as VP of Engineering, Hagay Lupesko focuses on making generative AI training and inference efficient, fast, and accessible. Prior to MosaicML, Hagay held AI engineering leadership roles at Meta, AWS, and GE Healthcare. He shipped products across various domains: from 3D medical imaging, through global-scale web systems, and up to deep learning systems that power apps and services used by billions of people worldwide.
Jay Jackson
VP AI & ML, Oracle | Expert in Neurotechnology and the Future of BCIs
Jay is a VP of the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organization at Oracle Cloud. He completed a degree in neuroscience and started his career in technology at Oracle, maintaining an idea that these two paths would converge.
Daphne Koller, PhD
CEO And Founder, Insitro | Former Co-CEO and President of Coursera
In addition to being the CEO and Founder of insitro, a machine learning-driven drug discovery and development company, Daphne Koller is also co-founder of Engageli, was the Rajeev Motwani Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, the co-CEO and President of Coursera, and the Chief Computing Officer of Calico Labs. She is the author of over 300 refereed publications and the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including the MacArthur Foundation Fellowship in 2004. In 2012, Daphne was recognized as one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people.

Yaron Haviv
Co-Founder & CTO , Iguazio | Author of Leading Open Source Tools including, Nuclio and MLRun
A serial entrepreneur, in addition to co-founding Iguazio, Yaron Haviv also initiated and built Nuclio and MLRun. He is also one of the CNCF Working Group Foundation’s first members, and is co-authoring a book on Implementing MLOps in the Enterprise. Yaron has also written for TheNewStack, Hackernoon, DZone, and Towards Data Science among others.
Florian Jacta
Customer Success Manager, Taipy
Florian Jacta is a specialist of Taipy. He has also worked as a data scientist for Groupe Les Mousquetaires (Intermarche) and ATOS. He developed several Predictive Models as part of strategic AI projects. Florian got his master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from INSA, Major in Data Science and Mathematical Optimization.
Albert Vu
CS Engineer, Taipy | Expert in Machine Learning and Big Data to Solve Optimization Problems
Albert Vu’s focus is using machine learning and big data to solve (financial) optimization problems. He shares his expertise by developing projects of different skill levels for Taipy’s tutorial videos.
Joe Dery, PhD
VP & Dean, Data Analytics, Western Governors University | Former Dell Technologies Decision Science Leader
Prior to joining Western Governors University College of IT in 2022, Joe held positions in various departments at EMC–later Dell Technologies–from data science to supply chain. He’s also an acclaimed speaker on the topics of decision intelligence frameworks, change management, and bringing analytics solutions to life.
Dr. Aaron Cheng
VP Of Data Science, DotData | AI Thought Leader and Expert in Building High-performing Interdisciplinary Data Science Organizations
Aaron is a data practitioner with 14 years of experience in research and industry. During this time, he has held several leadership roles, where he led new product development. His previous experience includes Data Science Principle Manager with Accenture Digital, where he was instrumental in the strategic expansion of Accenture Digital’s footprint in the data science market in North America.
Audrey Reznik Guidera
Sr. Principal Software Engineer, RedHat | Highly Experienced Data Scientist at Red Hat’s AI and ML Center of Excellence
Over the course of her 20 year career, Audrey has held a range of positions from full stack development to data science. In these roles she has pursued her passion for Data Science, in particular the current opportunities with AIML at the Edge and Open Source technologies.
