According to their website, their AI-based system is significantly faster, and more objective, than the paper-based systems frequently used to assess cognitive health. Additionally, their technology is able to use existing health data to identify the early stages of cognitive decline and help healthcare providers provide early intervention.
The Alan Turing Institute
The Alan Turing Institute is also focused on early detection and early intervention in mental health disorders. Using machine learning to identify patterns in large-scale data, the researchers at The Alan Turing Institute, are building a predictive model that can help healthcare workers detect and predict the progression of mental health disorders in patients. Ultimately, they hope to reduce the number of invasive tests a patient must endure, the costs incurred during testing, and the occurrence of negative patient outcomes.
WEX Inc.
WEX Inc., a financial technology solutions company, just recently released a chatbot that is powered by AI and designed to provide a personalized and responsive healthcare benefits experience to both consumers and employers. Available 24 hours a day, the chatbot provides immediate assistance with routine requests, allowing customer service representatives to focus on the more involved, time-consuming issues their customers encounter.
